ABOUT US

Thomas E. Pickel began his career in public accounting in 1975 after graduating from Kansas State University. He has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant since 1977. In 1982, Tom started his own firm, and has over 40 years of experience in providing tax, consulting, and accounting services for individuals, partnerships, trusts, estates, and small businesses. His passion is helping his clients achieve financial success and stability.

Tom is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is an active member of Salina AMBUCS. He also serves on the Board of Directors of The First Tee of Saline County, Inc. For leisure, he enjoys traveling and golfing.

Originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Tom is a Vietnam veteran and was stationed at Fort Riley where he met his wife, Phyllis. They have one daughter, Amy, and two grandsons, Cooper and Caden.

Ryan E. Callender graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville in 2010. He’s worked in a variety of industries, providing him with diverse corporate experience. Ryan is a licensed CPA and has more than 6 years of experience providing tax, consulting, and accounting services for individuals, partnerships, trusts, estates, and small businesses. He is a member of the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, comes from Orangeville, Illinois, and has one son, Reid.

Jan Hollander joined the team in February 2023. She has lived and worked in Salina for the past 40 years. Jan loves spending time outside the office with her three adult children and five grandchildren. Her favorite part of the job is meeting and helping all the clients as they seek to solve their accounting and financial needs.
